First Day of School!

The kids started school on September 4, at a brand spankin new school. Dawson is still in awe that it is a 3 story building, well, 2 with a basement, kind of. He thinks it should be a middle school, and they should have lockers.

Cole started Kindergarten, and he LOVES it. He has a fantastic teacher, Mrs. Pitman, and she is the perfect teacher for Kindergartners. She is kind, sweet & patient. Cole, our little cuddle bug, when she goes to give him a high five as he is leaving, insists on a hug each time.

Adelyne's teacher is Mrs. Strange, and she is fantastic as well! She is fun, her classroom is equipped with a couch, and millions of cows everywhere. Since Adelyne has never done well with any change, she was a little nervous about having to start all over again, we were safe once we found out Mrs. Strange was her teacher, because she has made the transition so fun for her and the rest of her classmates.

Dawson's teacher is Mr. Deck. He is a young, fun, and I think a no-nonsense teacher, and Dawson is really enjoying him as well. I informed him that I don't think he will put up with all of his talking like his previous teachers have, and we are safe so far!

We started out our morning with Mickey Mouse pancakes.

Cole & Mrs. PitmanAdelyne and her friend Macayla, they were in the same class last year, and got lucky in the same one this year, even at a new school!

The Principal started a new tradition, where she is going to have all of the parents line up and form a tunnel, for the raising of the flag, and the Pledge of Allegiance, and then had all of the kids walk through the tunnel into the school, and she gave each individual child a "high five." It was pretty fun to watch.
